Chimney Sweep

The National Association of Chimney Sweeps recommends a quarterly sweep depending the frequency of use and the fuel being used.

£60 (£55 for first sweep)

Birds nest removal

I provide bird nest and other blockage removal services and can advise on an appropriate guard to prevent nesting in the future.

Cage and cowl

I can supply and fit chimney cages and cowls to help prevent birds nesting and other blockages.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

I can supply and fit a new Carbon Monoxide alarm. NOTE: I will identify and test any existing alarm as part of a chimney sweep.

Stove thermometer

I can supply and fit a stove thermometer to ensure that your stove is burning at the correct temperature range.

Wood burner maintenance

Service and maintenance of wood and multi-fuel burners to ensure they are safe to use and provide an efficient burn.

Moisture meter

I can provide moisture meters to test the moisture content of your firewood to ensure clean and efficient burn.

Creosote treatment

I can provide effective treatment for the prevention and treatment of creosote (tar) build up.

Dust covers

I'll cover your floor and nearby furniture with dust sheets (drop cloths).

Vacuum

I'll vacuum up afterwards ensuring your home is left as I found it.

Carbon monoxide

I'll check for an existing Carbon Monoxide alarm and test that it works properly.

Dust prevention

I am trained in the prevention of dust escape while sweeping your chimney.
